Backend Engineer

Role Overview

Join us in building the foundation of our AI-powered materials discovery platform. You'll be responsible for designing and implementing scalable infrastructure that powers our ML models and supports our distributed computing needs.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement scalable ML infrastructure
• Develop APIs for model deployment and integration
• Optimize distributed computing systems
• Build robust data pipelines for scientific workflows
• Implement security best practices
• Collaborate with ML engineers on model deployment

What You Bring

• Strong Python programming skills
• Experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
• Knowledge of distributed systems and cloud architecture
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices
• MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field
• 3+ years of relevant experience
